Horse Treat Recipe Horse treats

Rolled Horse Treats

2 c. whole wheat flour (wheat or oat flour is fine)

1 c. wheat bran (can probably be substituted with flour)

1 c. corn meal

1 c. Diatomaceous earth (can probably be substituted with flour)

1 tbsp. gluten

¾ c. water

½ c. molasses

Mix all ingredients together in mixing bowl. Add a little more water until it is of a doughy consistency, but not too sticky. Roll out in heavily floured large cookie sheet. Roll out dough until it is 1/8 “ – 1/4” thick. Use a sharp knife or pizza roller to score the dough in 1” – 2” squares. Bake at 300° for 30 to 40 minutes or until fairly hard in the middle. Once it has cooled break it up into squares.

It is important to heavily flour the cookie sheet so that it won’t stick.
