I worked both Jackson and Sadeem again
today. They didn’t seem as playful or
energetic today. They didn’t seem inclined
to play around as much. I only worked for
about half and hour today as it was pretty
cold. My brother took more videos, but I
wish you could have seen how they were on
Friday. *sigh* Naturally when the camera is
out, they don’t do as well.
Sadeem
Sadeem is a pest. Yes, I am going to have to
work on that. His Jambette is getting
better. We are just shaping it slowly. He
did a couple of rears today. He is starting
to offer the rears, but I am not going to
reward those until he learns to do it with
more manners. I do go up and pet him though.
He gave me a couple of rears on command. I
am just going to work on getting him to do
low rears calmly on command.
Jackson
Jackson was only okay today. He did some
nice obeisances. He laid down on cue. He did
a couple of rears. His passage was only okay
today. He lunged nicely though. I don’t know
what it was about today, but not so fun. Of
course, we all have our bad days.
We did start to work on stay. I told Jackson
to “stay,” and if he stood there while I
backed up a step, I clicked and rewarded. I
just did it for a couple of minutes and
backed up to where I was about 10 ft. away.
We will see how this progress in the next
few weeks.
