I got Jackson out for about 45 minutes. We
did some warm up at liberty. We did
companion walking and trotting first.
Jackson is getting much better at that. We
also transferred that to free lunging! That
is pretty neat.
We worked on the “pose,” rearing, terre a
terre, and Spanish Walk. The Spanish Walk
happened without my specifically asking for
it and I think it is the nice SW I have ever
seen him do! Don’t worry, we got it all on
video.
Since I had my brother handy, I decided to
ride Jackson and take a video of how we are
doing with a few movements. We did haunches
in on a circle. Not very good, but it was
helpful to see it. Also, two tracks, leg
yield, and half pass. We did all of these at
a walk.
Then we did a quick video of him trotting a
circle on a loose rein. It is so cool to
feel him steer with just my seat and upper
body! Yay!!
