I worked with Jackson for about an hour. I did some messing around at liberty. We did some companion stuff. It is interesting, when I ask Jackson to rear, he often goes into GOTM, as I have said, but when I ask for Terre a Terre, he often does GOTM and a step or two of the piaffe. I am trying to capture that step or two and get a cue to do the piaffe at liberty. It is not working so far, but “never give up, never surrender.”

I continued with the lunging and endotapping. I don’t see much improvement to the right. I keep at it, but I don’t see much success. He is a little more consistent to the left and I hope to build on that.

I rode Jackson briefly bareback and he did really well! I was so happy how he did in the canter! No tossing his head like he used to and he felt much more relaxed.
