I worked Jackson for about an hour. It turned into a day of mostly play. I got Sadeem out at the same time, so they were both with me the whole time. I did want to work on “the pose” that Alexandra Kurland talks about. I have already done some as I have taught him to do the Ramener and to lean back. So today I worked on GOTM. I wanted him to do GOTM and to raise his head, little by little, in Ramener. He is not proficient at GOTM, so we did work on that first, then I gently asked him to raise his head. He did very well. He lifted his head fairly high in Ramener! I was very pleased.

He also was doing better with the obeisance and bow. He is starting to round more and more at liberty. It is very fun to see that.

Now while I was working with Jackson, Sadeem was there trying to get some treats too. He did lie down two times, but I wasn’t asking for it. I was able to click and reward both of them though. I did work a little bit on Ramener with Sadeem. I think he will figure it out pretty quickly!

We also went for a walk to get the mail. Both Jackson and Sadeem were at liberty. They both took off running down the driveway (away from home). They stopped by the mailbox. Then they just hung around until I got there. Then they both walked back with me to the house. For some of that time, Jackson would round up nicely. It was very fun to see.

We also did some running around and playing at liberty. Both Jackson and Sadeem would come charging up to me. I made sure to reward Sadeem so that he would learn to come when called. So later, he did come running up to me in the yard, which was a first!

So mostly just playing and messing around.
